A diamond tool is a cutting, grinding, drilling or polishing tool with industrial diamond particles bonded to its working surface. It is used on concrete, stone, tile and asphalt for fast, precise material removal.
Concrete grinding is the process of leveling and smoothing concrete floors with a grinder fitted with diamond segments or pads. It removes coatings, repairs damage and prepares the surface for polishing or coating.
OEM means we manufacture diamond tools under your own brand name. ODM means we also design the product for you. Both include factory-direct pricing, private label and flexible MOQ for distributors and importers.
A bond is the metal or resin matrix that holds diamond particles in a tool. Softer bonds wear faster and expose fresh diamonds on hard materials; harder bonds last longer on soft materials. Choosing the right bond matches the tool to your job.
Wet tools use water for cooling and dust control, which extends blade life on hard or dense materials. Dry tools run without water and are convenient on site, but they work best with smaller, segmented tools that stay cool.
Use a soft bond for hard materials like granite, hard concrete, or porcelain — the softer matrix wears faster to expose fresh diamond crystals. Use a hard bond for soft, abrasive materials like asphalt, limestone, or soft concrete — the harder matrix slows wear to extend tool life. For reinforced concrete, a medium bond with impact-resistant segments is recommended. When in doubt, send us a material sample or description and our engineers will recommend the exact bond formula.
Coarse grits (16–30#) remove material fastest but leave a rough surface, ideal for coating removal and heavy grinding. Medium grits (40–80#) balance cutting speed and finish quality for general grinding. Fine grits (120–400#) produce smoother surfaces for finishing and pre-polishing. Polishing sequences run from 50# up to 3000# for a high-gloss finish. Always progress through grits sequentially — skipping more than one grit step leaves visible scratches.
Yes. We manufacture quick-change adapters compatible with all major floor grinder and saw brands including HTC (Twist), Husqvarna (Redi-Lock), Scanmaskin, Lavina, STIHL, Hilti, and more. Specify your machine model when ordering and we will supply the correct adapter system. Our standard product pages list compatible machines, and custom adapters are available for OEM clients.
Metal-bonded tools use a sintered metal matrix (copper, iron, cobalt, nickel alloys) that holds diamond particles securely. They are extremely durable and aggressive, used for grinding, cutting, and drilling. Resin-bonded tools use a phenolic or epoxy matrix that is softer and more flexible, producing a finer finish. They are used for polishing and fine finishing. Metal bonds last 5–10x longer than resin bonds but cannot achieve the same gloss level.
Wet grinding reduces dust, extends segment life by 30–50%, and produces a smoother finish, but requires water management and is slower to set up. Dry grinding is faster and more convenient for small areas or when water is unavailable, but requires HEPA dust extraction to control silica dust. For polished concrete systems, wet grinding is recommended for the initial metal-bond steps. Always follow OSHA silica dust regulations when dry grinding.
Replace grinding segments when the remaining diamond layer is less than 2mm, when cutting speed drops significantly despite correct bond selection, or if any segment shows cracks, looseness, or uneven wear. Replace resin polishing pads when the working layer is worn through, when gloss improvement plateaus, or when the pad no longer cuts effectively. Never use tools with damaged or missing segments — this can cause machine vibration and unsafe operating conditions.
The most common cause is glazing — the bond has worn unevenly and diamond particles are no longer exposed. Dress the tool by cutting abrasive material (soft concrete block, sandstone, or a dressing stick) for 30–60 seconds. Other causes include: bond too hard for the material (switch to softer bond), insufficient water (increase flow), incorrect RPM (verify speed matches tool diameter), or worn-out segments (replace tool).
Always follow the maximum RPM marked on the tool. Typical ranges: 105–230mm saw blades at 10,000–13,000 RPM; 300–400mm blades at 6,000–8,000 RPM; 500mm+ blades at 3,000–4,500 RPM. Floor grinders typically run at 300–1,800 RPM depending on machine size. Core drill rigs run at 300–1,200 RPM. Running too fast causes overheating and bond glazing; too slow causes inefficient cutting and premature wear.
Standard catalog items ship within 10–15 business days of order confirmation. Custom OEM orders typically require 20–30 business days depending on complexity and order quantity. Large orders (5,000+ units) may require additional time. We provide confirmed delivery dates at order confirmation and can expedite production for urgent orders at an additional cost. All orders are quality-inspected before shipment.
We ship worldwide via sea freight (most economical for large orders), air freight (faster for urgent medium orders), and express couriers (DHL, FedEx, UPS for small sample orders). Shipping costs and transit times depend on destination, order weight, and volume. We work with reliable freight forwarders and can arrange door-to-door delivery or port-to-port shipping. All shipments include commercial invoices, packing lists, and certificates of origin as required.
Yes. Our technical team provides pre-sales consultation (tool selection, bond recommendation), post-sales support (troubleshooting, usage guidance), and custom application engineering. We respond to technical inquiries within 24 hours. For OEM clients, we provide dedicated account managers and ongoing product optimization. We also offer on-site training for large orders and distributor partners.
We guarantee all products against manufacturing defects. If a tool fails due to material or workmanship issues, we will replace it free of charge or issue a full refund. Claims must be submitted within 30 days of receipt with photos and a description of the issue. Custom OEM products are guaranteed to meet agreed specifications. We do not accept returns for tools damaged by misuse, incorrect application, or normal wear.
